Omaha Police Get New Cars
On Tuesday Omaha Police demonstrated their new cruisers. The new cars are Chevrolet Caprice Police Specials and will gradually replace ageing Ford Crown Victoria sedans. Ford recently stopped production of what had become the standard police car in most departments.
The Chevrolets will have enhanced stability control and 340 horse power under the hood. The department plans to buy 40 cars a year for the next four years.
