The fate of an Omaha man, accused of murder, is now in the hands of a jury.
Avery Tyler is charged in the 2012 murder of Delayno Wright. Wright was shot to death outside the Halo Bar near 175th and West Center Road.
According to police, Wright, his girlfriend, and cousin were leaving the Halo Bar when they crossed paths with two men. One of those men was allegedly Avery Tyler.
Wright's girlfriend accused Tyler of touching her inappropriately, and an altercation broke out. Tyler allegedly went back to his car, pulled out a gun, and fired eight shots at Wright, killing him.
Tyler originally stood trial in January 2014; however, a mistrial was declared due to alleged juror misconduct.
