An Omaha man told police he was attacked by another man who tried to bum a cigarette off him early Tuesday morning.
Officers were called to Bergan-Mercy Hospital to investigate the alleged assault just after 12:30 a.m. The victim, 20-year-old Julian Chacon, said the incident happened outside his home, near 21st and N Street. He claims a man asked for a cigarette and then the two got into an argument; that's when the suspect pulled out a knife and cut Chacon.
Chacon suffered superficial cuts to his arm and will make a full recovery. Omaha police have not released a detailed description of the suspect; however, anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 402-444-7867.
