An Omaha lawyer has been selected to become one of seven judges for the Nebraska Workers' Compensation Court.
The office of Gov. Dave Heineman said Tuesday that he picked 41-year-old Daniel Fridrich, one of seven nominees whose names were forwarded to the governor by a judicial nomination commission. The others were William Birkel, Dirk Block, Matthew Buckley, Julie Martin, Shirley Williams and Anne Winner.
Fridrich will fill the court vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Ronald Brown.
