It's not on any of the ESPN channels but there is an international tournament underway in 0maha. It pits the USA against all of Europe in a kind of Ryder Cup of Bridge.
The Buffett Cup is a traveling trophy for the tournament.
The competitors are separated by a wooden divider. That is so players cannot "read" each other for a competitive advantage.
The tournament consists of pairs, team and individual competitions.
Sue Himel says, "We have a lot of bridge tournaments where these people play and compete against the very best but this one is more about international friendship and promoting our game."
The tournament runs through Thursday evening. The closing ceremonies and trophy presentation will be Thursday evening at the Henry Doorly Zoo Aquarium.
