Looking for some fresh produce or flowers this spring? Well you are in luck; the Omaha Farmer’s Market is now officially open.
The season kicked off Saturday in the Old Market. Families packed into the streets to check out all the vendors had to offer. Plus, the weather was beautiful.
Donna Welchert said, "We're so excited to be started back up again and it's a beautiful day for our first market and the plants are selling like hot cakes, so we've had a great day so far."
Then Sunday, the Farmers Market opened in Aksarben Village. People there were checking out all the merchandise. There was everything from flowers and produce to popcorn and bread.
Missy Smith said their most popular items have been herbs and plants. "Everybody is looking to get the gardens in I think by next weekend and get the vegetables going so they're ready to eat."
The Farmers Market will be open in the Old Market every Saturday. Then on Sundays it will be in Aksarben Village.
