An Omaha driver is in the hospital following a crash that, police said, involved alcohol.
According to investigators, the crash happened just after 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Ed Creighton Avenue and Hanscom Boulevard. Police said a 1991 Honda Accord was westbound on Ed Creighton when it rear-ended a Freightliner semi-tractor, which was stopped in the traffic lane.
The driver of the Honda, 42-year-old Assri Comlan-Cataria, was taken to the hospital and is being treated for a lacerated liver and a brain bleed. The driver of the Freightliner, 49-year-old Steven Limley, was not injured.
Police reported alcohol was a factor in this crash.
