One of Omaha’s biggest Oktoberfest celebrations returns for it’s 11th year on Beer Corner USA!

Celebrate Omaha’s German roots Friday, September, 21st from 4pm-2am and Saturday, September 22nd from Noon – 2am with Oktoberfest!

Oktoberfest, held in Munich, Germany almost every year since 1810 is the celebration of the wedding between Crown Prince Ludwig, later to become King Ludwig I, and Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen. The citizens of Munich were invited to attend the festivities held on the fields in front of the city gates to celebrate the happy royal event, and the celebration lasted for over 2 weeks!

Oktoberfest celebrates its 202nd Anniversery this year, only Wars and cholera epidemics have briefely interrupted the yearly beer celebration. Today, the Oktoberfest in Munich is the largest festival in the world, with an international flavor characteristic of the 20th century.

The Crescent Moon Ale House and Huber Haus German Bier Hall have been celebrating the spirit of Munich’s Oktoberfest to Beer Corner USA for 11 years. More than 7500 people attended the 2011 Oktoberfest.

Once again 36th Street west of the bar will be closed and the parking lot will be converted into the Beer Corner USA Oktoberfest Grounds.
