OPPD Board Picks New Leaders For 2012

The Omaha Public Power District's board has chosen a new slate of leaders for 2012.

The eight-person board voted Thursday to make N.P. Dodge Jr. the
board's next chairman. John Thompson will be vice chairman.

Dodge has served on the board since 1994. He runs the N.P. Dodge
real estate company and serves on the boards of several community
groups.

Thompson is a land developer who has been on the OPPD board
since 2004. He is also a former member of the Bellevue city
council.

OPPD provides electricity to more than 346,000 customers in 13
counties of east and southeast Nebraska.
