OPL Provides Help With New Health Care Law

Don't understand the Affordable Health Care Act? Need help navigating The Marketplace website? Omaha Public Libraries has set up special sessions to give you help.

A representative with Marketplace Nebraska will be on hand to answer those questions. Since the site launched Tuesday there have been some glitches and people have complained of technical difficulties.

Doug Carmichael with Marketplace Nebraska says, "It's just one of those things that people need to be patient. They need to understand that this is a six month process. It's more a marathon than a sprint. If you do need coverage by January 1st you have until December 15th to have an effective policy."

He says people can take this extra time to get all their questions answered and make sure they have all the information.

If you would like to attend one of the information sessions at the libraries here are the times and locations:

Monday: 10 am - 12 pm Main Branch
Tuesday: 12 pm - 2 pm Willa Cather; 4pm - 7pm Washington
Wednesday: 12 pm - 2 pm Florence
Thursday: 3pm - 5 pm South Branch
