The Omaha Police Department will not respond to property damage accidents until further notice. Police ask that drivers call 911 only if there are injuries in the accident or if the vehicles are disabled and blocking traffic.
For all other accidents, exchange information. Nebraska law requires you provide your name, address, phone number and driver’s license number.
Omaha Police also recommend you obtain the vehicle information including the plate number and insurance information. Please move your vehicles to a safe area to conduct the exchange of information.
