The Nebraska Department of Roads is reminding candidates and other that it's against the law to put political campaign signs on a state highway right of way.
The department is issuing a reminder, noting that various signs
usually appear along roadsides around election time.
The department says maintenance crews will remove signs found
within the state highway rights of way. Those signs will be stored
for a brief period at maintenance yards across the state, where
they can be reclaimed by owners.
