An Omaha house sustained significant damage in a fire Wednesday afternoon. An elderly man had lived there until moving just days ago.
The blaze at 44th and R streets was discovered around 4:30 p.m. Smoke could be seen from the interstate near downtown Omaha.
No word yet on the cause of the fire, which apparently started in the back of the house.
