Firefighters believed a retired resident was stuck inside a burning home Thursday afternoon, but the house turned out to be unoccupied.
Crews were called to 141st Street and Orchard Avenue in Omaha around 1 p.m. after neighbors spotted the flames and reported the blaze. Officials believe the fire started in the basement.
No injuries were reported.
