Fire crews made quick work of a house fire, near 33rd and California, Thursday night. The call came out at 10:30.
Firefighters said the single family house sustained heavy fire and smoke damage throughout the structure. Thermal damage was contained to a bedroom and living room. Investigators said there were no smoke detectors inside the house.
The person living in the house was not there when the fire started. The Red Cross responded to the scene and will help the person living in the home find temporary shelter.
