A truck carrying crescent shaped pipes has lost some of that load leading to a traffic jam that stretches for miles in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80.
The truck dumped the large sections of pipe across two or three lanes of traffic just after 7:00 a.m. Tuesday morning near the 84th Street exit. By 7:25 traffic was backed up for miles along Interstate 80 and the connecting ramp from southbound Interstate 680. By 7:45 the numbers 2 and 3 lanes were open.
The unique shape of the pipes made it difficult to get them off the interstate, extending the delay for drivers.
