A favorite Omaha bar on St. Patrick's Day will have a new look this year for patrons. The owners of the Marylebone Tavern have been working on renovations to both the exterior and interior.
Dan and Peggy Bosiljevac bought the Marylebone about 2 years ago. Since then, they have been making some slight changes, like bringing in a lunch menu; in addition to dinner.
Recently the bar has gone all in with renovations and changes, including a new exterior, sign, fresh paint, new doors, light fixtures and some more subtle things that add to the ambiance.
"You have to see it and know what the Marylebone used to look like to see some of the changes," said owner, Dan Bosiljevac.
Bosiljevac is looking forward to crowds over the weekend and on Tuesday for a Polish celebration.
"The bar is completely redone."
The Marylebone is ready, the large shamrock has been painted outside of the bar on Leavenworth and they will have an extended beer garden this year.
The bar is open at 6 a.m. on St. Patrick's Day. Corned beef and cabbage will be for sale all day Saturday and corned beef sandwiches on Sunday.
