New Maps of Nebraska

The Nebraska Department of Roads has prepared the new map which features the highway systems, municipalities, counties, Nebraska Scenic Byways, State and Federal Parks and Recreation Areas, topographic regions and insets of the 13 cities over 10,000 in population.

The map also includes updated information such as Rules of the Road and helpful highway and travel information phone numbers.

Two million maps were printed by Omaha Printing Company.

This is only the second time in twenty-five years the state map was printed in Nebraska. The cost per map is about 9 cents. For past issues, the cost of paper drove map printing up to 16 cents per unit in 1996.

State maps will be available at tourist attractions and visitor centers throughout the state in a few weeks. For complete travel information or a copy of the Nebraska map, contact:

Nebraska Department of Economic Development Division of Travel and Tourism at 888‑444‑1867, Dept. 1MAP or at VisitNebraska.gov.

The Nebraska Department of Roads will make maps available through their District Offices in Omaha, Lincoln, Grand Island, North Platte, McCook, Gering, Ainsworth, Norfolk and at Lincoln State Headquarters.
