New Keno location approved in Cass County.
Action taken by both the Cass County Board of Commissioners and the Nehawka Village Board gives the go-ahead for the county keno game to run at Steel Horse Saloon in Nehawka.
The Cassgram reports George Payne of Cass County Keno LLC said the agreement is similar to how Otoe County keno is played within the city limits of Nebraska City.
The county and Nehawka each approved an interlocal agreement. County Attorney Nathan Cox told county board members the arrangement meets legal requirements.
While the county gets 8% of the betting from the keno locations outside city or village limits, Payne said the agreement for Steel Horse Saloon is for 5% to go to the county and 3% to the Village of Nehawka.
