Airlines will have some new rules to operate under...they go into effect Tuesday.
One lets the Transportation Department fine carriers up to $27,500 per passenger if an international flight waits on the tarmac for more than four hours.
Passengers would get double the price of their ticket if they are bumped...up to a limit of $650.
And a longer delay could cost airlines up to four times the ticket price...up to a $1,300.
Also, carriers have to show all secondary fees on their websites.
