It's one of the largest races in Omaha and this year shouldn't disappoint. The 2013 Corporate Cup is just around the corner, with race day set for September 15th.
Eleven year-old Rachel Abboud and her friends are planning on running in the race this year. They are young, but feel it's important people of all ages participate.
"To all those people who are going through those terrible things, I just think the fundraiser here helps really make a difference," said Abboud.
The race will raise money for the American Lung Association.
"Our goal is normally ten to 12 thousand participants. We are looking at 275 teams is our goal. And we always look to try and raise 350 to 400 thousand dollars for the Lung Association," said Brian Lodes, 2013 Corporate Cup Committee Chair.
For the first time, the race will now take place in Askarben Village. Lodes said this new location will bring a lot of perks.
"Good news is all the parking around here is free," said Lodes.
Surface parking is available by Blue Cross, Blue Shield, the First Data Lot is open, the two parking garages, and several others will be open to the public.
Organizers said because of the new location, they urge runners to get there early.
Also dress for the forecast, Lodes said the race will happen rain or shine.
Abboud and her friends think running is a great way to show support and raise money.
"Well running is not just an activity it is something from your heart, and sometimes it can do so many things that you can't even count, so running is just an amazing little thing," said Amelia Prescher, runner.
