The Dodge County Board of Supervisors announced the appointment of Larry Shepard to the Fremont Area Medical Center Board of Trustees, filling the seat vacated by Ron Gross.
Shepard, a licensed real estate broker, is President and Chief Executive Officer of Don Peterson and Associates.
He also serves on the Board of Directors of Fremont National Bank and the Rupert Dunklau Foundation, and is a member of the Greater Fremont Development Council. Shepard is a member of the National Association of Realtors, Nebraska Realtors Association, and the Fremont Board of Realtors.
As a county-owned, nonprofit healthcare facility, FAMC is governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees appointed by the Dodge County Board of Supervisors.
Other members of the Board are: Joel Jelkin (Chairman), Dr. Tom Waring (Vice Chairman), Steve Pribnow (Treasurer), Ken Beebe, Linda McClain, and Dr. Monty Sellon.
Fremont Area Medical Center provides services through its own operations and finances, using no county or taxpayer funds.
