A west Omaha eyesore is being demolished.
Fact Finders first reported how the former Club Nico nightclub near North 114th Street and West Dodge Road was in shambles and a potential fire hazard. A thief was caught stealing air conditioner equipment for its copper wiring.
Business neighbor Bennett Ginsberg is glad to see a development plan for the property is moving forward. “We talked to the owners and they're going to build a nice four-story Hampton. They are very good to work with. They're going to put some nice landscaping up so I think it will be a nice project.”
The ornate building was originally a restaurant before becoming a nightclub. A Utah investment group now owns the property.
