Nebraskan Pleads No Contest To Setting More Fires

A 45-year-old Wymore man who served prison time for arson has pleaded no contest to charges that he set more fires in southeast Nebraska.

Bryan Campbell pleaded no contest to one felony charge and two misdemeanor counts of arson. In return for his plea, prosecutors dropped a charge of interfering with a police radio system.

Campbell was charged with starting grass fires last April near Blue Springs in southeast Nebraska. In one of the fires, 20 wooden posts and a corner post were damaged.

His sentencing is scheduled for May 2.

Campbell also was convicted of two arson counts in 2004 and was
sentenced to 20 to 60 months in prison.
