A 19-year-old Lincoln man faces sentencing in December for his role in stealing Lily, a pet fainting goat.
According to the Lincoln Journal Star, Lancaster County investigators say Dustin Laschanzky and three other people took the goat from a Bennet family.
A Facebook posting by one of them helped break the case.
Deputies found Lily without food in a building. One of her ears had been cut in an apparent effort remove an identification tag.
Court records say Laschanzky pleaded guilty to misdemeanor animal cruelty. In exchange, prosecutors dropped misdemeanor charges of theft and trespassing.
His sentencing is set for Dec. 10.
Records say court action is pending against the other three people.
