A Nebraska man is in jail after he attempted to meet a child for sex.
Investigators arrested 29-year-old Ryan Larson of Cozad after he drove to Clinton, Iowa to hook up with what he believed was a 13-year-old girl.
Larson arranged to meet the girl at the corner of 12th Avenue and North Second streets in Clinton. Instead, he was greeted by an undercover police officer.
Sheriff Rick Lincoln says it's impossible to identify a sex offender by appearance alone. "We've caught a college administrator, a commercial air pilot, a civil engineer and a truck driver."
Larson is charged with enticement of a minor. He faces up to five years in prison if convicted.
