The Nebraska Supreme Court will hear the appeal of an Omaha man convicted of killing an Omaha college student whose body has never been found.

Christopher Edwards was convicted of second-degree murder in the 2006 disappearance of 19-year-old Jessica O'Grady. Edwards was sentenced to 100 years to life.

Edwards filed an appeal in 2010 in Douglas County District Court, saying former Crime Scene Investigation unit commander David
Kofoed planted evidence in his case, among other things. Kofoed is
serving a prison sentence for tampering with evidence in a Cass
County case.

The lower court rejected Edwards' request for a hearing or new trial, saying there was a "massive amount of blood" and many investigators working on the case, so there was little possibility that one investigator planted evidence.
