The Nebraska unemployment rate for February was 3.6 percent, 0.1 higher than the January rate.
“While the preliminary figures indicate that the unemployment rate has increased, it is encouraging that the labor force has grown by nearly 3,000 people compared to last month, including increases in both Lincoln and Omaha,” said Nebraska Commissioner of Labor Catherine D. Lang.
The national unemployment rate in February was 6.7 percent, an increase of 0.1 percentage points from the January rate of 6.6 percent. The February 2013 national unemployment rate was 7.7 percent.
