A Nebraska state senator is recovering at home this week after suffering a mild heart attack.
An aide says Sen. Ken Haar of Malcolm had the heart attack on Friday. Haar was given medication, but surgery wasn't required.
Haar's office says the senator is expected to recover and return to the Capitol next week.
The 70-year-old Haar was first elected to the Nebraska Legislature in 2008. He was re-elected last year. His district includes Malcolm, Raymond, Davey, and portions of northwest Lincoln.
