The U.S. Census Bureau says more people are calling Nebraska and Iowa home these days. New figures were released Monday.
The government says as of July 1, 2013 Nebraska has 1,868,516 people. That’s up from 1,855,350 from the previous year and 1,841,749 in 2011.
Iowa now has 3,090,415 people. That’s up from 3,075,039 in 2012 and 3,064,102 in 2011.
The most populous state is California with 38,332,521 people. The state with the most elbow room continues to be Wyoming with 582,658 people.
