If you've been indulging in cookies during the holidays, no need to worry. You have a good reason to on Tuesday because it’s National Cookie Day.
Parents gathered with their kids at the Charles B. Washington Branch of the Omaha Library.
In honor of cookie day they decorated cookie pictures. Danielle Andersen brought her son to the event and says it was a pleasant surprise.
“We just came to the library because he wanted new books so to find out this was going on it makes it a better day and gives him something to do,” says Andersen. “He gets a cookie, he gets to color, and gets new books to read at home.”
People all around the country are celebrating the cookie holiday by hosting cookie parties and exchanges.
