Husker Football Player Cited For DUI, MIP

Nineteen-year-old Trey Foster was pulled over for speeding by the Nebraska State Patrol early Sunday morning. When the trooper pulled him over, he smelled alcohol, leading to a DUI and MIP citation along with a night in detox.

Foster was pulled over on West O Street at the intersection of Roundhouse Drive.

Foster was also issued a warning for speeding.

Husker Head Coach Bo Pelini issued a brief statement Tuesday night saying, “I am aware of the incident involving Trey Foster. We have met with Trey and the issue has been handled internally.”

Foster is a red shirt freshman on the University Nebraska- Lincoln football team. He plays tight end for the Huskers.
