With recruiting numbers below expectations, the Nebraska State Patrol is extending their application deadline three more days to April 7th.
The 56th Basic Recruit Camp begins October 20th, 2014.
The State Patrol is looking to hire as many as 30 new troopers.
The salary for a recruit while attending camp is $31,892. Upon graduation, the salary will increase to $44,574 annually.
Benefits include paid vacation and sick leave, medical insurance, life insurance and full retirement benefits.
Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen and 21 years-old by May 1st, 2015. A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
