There are new developments in Iowa's Millionaire Mystery. The winning ticket has been verified but the person who presented the ticket hasn't cashed in just yet.
Last week, someone turned in the winning "Hot Lotto" ticket just hours before the jackpot would have been voided out.
Now a lawyer representing the winner says he's on his way to Iowa to explain the mysterious circumstances.
Lottery official Mary Nuebaur says they won't hand over a penny until they're satisfied with the explanation, " We need to make sure there has been nothing amiss with the purchase of this ticket or with the possession of this ticket up to and including the time it was presented."
The winning ticket is worth more than $14 million dollars.
