A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Montgomery and Page counties in Iowa until 6 p.m. Sunday.
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission says a muzzleloader sight-in and family rendezvous have been scheduled for October 13th at Platte River State Park in eastern Nebraska.
The activities will take place at the Roger G. Sykes Outdoor Heritage Education Complex from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sight-in fee is $5, but all other activities are free.
The activities include demonstrations of percussion and flintlock rifles, Dutch oven cooking, cowboy action shooting, hatchet throwing, flint napping, long-bow shooting and bow making. A park entry permit is required.
