The family of a Heartland murder victim is asking the killer to turn himself in or the community to tell police what happened the night Willie Hill was killed.
It happened Tuesday near 41st and Ames Avenue. Hill and another man were shot. When police arrived they found Hill in the street. The second man was taken to the hospital by private vehicle.
Hill’s family spoke Friday about his love for his children and commitment to family. Members also admitted that Hill had a history that included being shot in 2002.
“Nobody can ever say he just messed me up or robbed me, he was not that type of guy and he always apologized and everybody accepted him because he had a big heart," said Ebony Jones.
Hill’s family believes someone knows what happened that night and is asking that person or persons to come forward and help investigators.
