Murder Victim Remembered

It has been a year since the murder of 33-year-old Jhonte Peters and there have been no arrests.

A few family members and friends gathered Tuesday to remember.

Jhonte’s aunt, Yolanda Peters, made a cross for him, placing it in the dirt where he was shot. She has a message for anyone who might have information about her nephew's death.

“Please, I forgive you, whoever did this,” she said. “I forgive you. Just give my family some peace that is what we are asking for."

If you have information on the case, call Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP or you can use the link on our Crime Stoppers page. You may be eligible for a $25,000 dollar reward.
