Murder Suspect Waives Preliminary Hearing

Latoya Ross waived her preliminary hearing in Douglas County Court and will now face a judge where she will enter a plea of guilty or not guilty. She is accused of shooting and killing 41-year-old Dawn Truman.

Truman was killed near 36th and Patrick around 4:45pm November 30th.

Thirty-year-old Ross in charged with first degree murder. Truman was found dead at the scene.

A judge denied her bond.

Prosecutors say Ross got into an argument with Truman at the home near 36th & Patrick. In the argument, Ross reportedly called Truman a "snitch" and then used a stolen gun to shoot her once in the chest.
