A Council Bluffs man plead guilty Thursday to murdering his wife and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Fifty-five-year-old Darwin Cox was initially charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of 44-year-old Millisa Cox at their home near 34th Street and Avenue B last October 15th.
He plead guilty in Pottawattamie County court to amended charges of voluntary manslaughter, intimidation with a dangerous weapon with intent and going armed with intent. In addition to the time behind bars, Cox was ordered to pay $150,000 to his wife's estate.
