Michael Williams plead guilty to shooting and killing his stepdaughter in October. On Wednesday, Channel 6 Fact Finders learned that Williams recently attempted suicide in jail by trying to overdose on medication.
It is alleged that Williams saved up meds, mainly Tylenol, and tried taking them all at once. His attorney, James Martin Davis, credits jail deputies for saving Williams' life. He has been taken to a diagnostic center in Lincoln for treatment.
Williams entered a guilty plea for the murder of his stepdaughter, Michala Pomfret, in April. The shooting happened near 27th and Crawford in Bellevue. Williams was taken into custody after attempting to take his own life then, too. He will be sentenced in January.
