We continue to learn more about the man suspected of killing an Omaha woman and dumping her body in an open grave at Graceland Park Cemetery.
The body of 19-year-old Melissa Rodriguez was found last Thursday. The man arrested for her murder, 19-year-old Mikael Loyd, was released from the Lasting Hope mental health facility the day before Rodriguez was found, but he was supposed to be there for 30 days.
Police say Loyd called the police department last Wednesday saying he'd been released. Detectives then called Lasting Hope and were able to verify that Loyd was no longer in treatment at their facility.
Lasting Hope is working on coming up with a clear policy about release notifications.
