An autopsy is scheduled Sunday for a 27-year-old Bellevue man killed Saturday in a motorcycle accident.
Police say David Plassmann was going northbound on John J. Pershing Drive north of I-680 in Omaha just before noon when he failed to negotiate a curve, lost control and crossed the southbound lane before crashing into a tree.
Members of his riding group performed CPR, but were not able to revive him. Plassman was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet.
Plassman's friends told WOWT 6 News on Sunday that he was an Air Force veteran who served honorably during the war in Afghanistan.
