A motorcyclist critically injured in a Council Bluffs accident Saturday afternoon later died.
Police say 51-year-old Todd Ronnfeldt of Council Bluffs was riding on northbound Interstate 29 with another motorcyclist who apparently lost control around 1:45 p.m. When Ronnfeldt tried to avoid hitting the other bike, he too lost control and went airborne through a median and crashed onto the North 16th Street on-ramp.
Ronnfeldt was taken to CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha where he later died. Police say he was not wearing a helmet.
