An Omaha man received several citations after the Nebraska State Patrol clocked him going up to 140 mph on his motorcycle along the West Dodge Expressway Thursday evening.

The NSP airplane was assisting troopers on the ground with traffic enforcement when the pilot clocked the motorcyclist traveling 130 mph just after 7:30 p.m.

A trooper attempted to pull him over, but he sped away reaching a speed of 140 mph. The plane continued to follow for approximately seven minutes before the driver stopped at a residence near North 161st and Spencer streets.

Troopers cited 20-year-old Benjamin Maenner for speeding, willful reckless driving, a stoplight violation as well as for not having insurance or registration.
