Mother Catches Her Brother Allegedly Sexual Assaulting Her Child

A woman tells WOWT Six News she came home to find her brother sexually abusing her child.

We are hiding this woman's identity to protect her children.

The Randolph mother of three, who we are calling Lynn, walked into her living room just over a week ago to see what she calls a nightmare.

"I was seeing if the kids were still sleeping, that is when I walked in to see him," and her voice trails off.

It's hard for her to finish the sentence, but she said her 23-year-old brother was sexually abusing her two year old son. She did the first thing that came to mind.

"Yelled at him, kicked him and then grabbed the youngest one, and got him away from it. Got the other two and got their shoes and stuff on, went outside, then called their dad and then called the sheriff," said Lynn.

The two year old was taken to the hospital immediately and then taken to Omaha.

Lynn brought her three sons to Project Harmony after the incident. And now it is believed that this suspect may have been sexually abusing all three boys.

On Sunday, January 5th the suspect is in jail. He is booked on three counts of second degree sexual assault of a minor.

Looking back this mother said there were signs, especially when the suspect would leave.

"Then when he would go up North or whatever, his (the boys) behaviors would back down some. And as soon as he came back, the violent outbursts," said Lynn.

In just a weeks time, the overall behavior of the three boys has changed.

"Just a lot more relaxed. They are a lot more comfortable they can tell," said Lynn.

She is taking it day by day , focusing solely on her children's recovery.

This mother said the boys won't be returning to Project Harmony, but will be bringing them to Omaha for counseling.

The suspect has a preliminary hearing set for Tuesday. That's when a judge will decide if there's enough evidence to make him stand trial.

WOWT Six News is not naming that suspect to protect the victims.
