One vehicle accident this morning south of Omaha.
Murray Volunteer Fire and Rescue responded along with a sheriff’s deputy to the accident west of 24th Avenue on Kenosha Road just before 7:30am. Reports from the scene indicated the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. The lone male occupant was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated. He reportedly suffered injuries to his lower extremities.
The Murray rescue squad responded as it was en route back from Bellevue Medical Center after answering a mutual aid call and transporting a patient that had fallen at an assisted living facility in Plattsmouth.
The patient in the accident was transported to University of Nebraska Medical Center with injuries coded as not life threatening.
