The number of Americans signing up for unemployment benefits rose last week.
According to the Labor Department, new claims for unemployment benefits rose by a seasonally adjusted 26,000...to 436,000.
Economists say that applications for jobless benefits need to stay below 425,000 for several weeks to show that more people are being hired.
Despite the number, private companies added 151,000 jobs in October, the first increase in total payrolls in five months.
