While 13 more horses have been rescued from a neglected herd more remain.
Channel Six News first reported the emergency rescue of eleven horses about two weeks ago. Volunteers with Hooves and Paws rescue returned and brought back 13 more this past weekend.
Almost all have been adopted. But 79 more neglected horses remain on the ranch located about three hours south of the Omaha metro area.
Rescuers hope to return and get them in about three weeks. But more adoptive or foster stables are needed. The herd includes horses of all ages and several pregnant mares.
