Some big cuts are coming to the Arm's combat units. 12 brigade combat teams are being eliminated as part of the drawdown in the Middle East and in the face of federal budget cuts.

Yahoo's CEO is making progress in her effort to boost mobile users. She says FLICKR users have jumped 50 percent since a redesign in May, while mobile e-mail has soared 70 percent since an April overhaul.

If you're tired of surfing through cable channels, there's a new online-TV device headed for the market. Speaking at a TV conference in San Francisco Tuesday, Intel's VP says the company believes it will have the content needed to launch its TV service and set-top box later this year.
