Monday was a big day for Yahoo. The company reported revenue growth of two percent year over year, which marks the company's first annual sales gain in four years. Shares of Yahoo have surged 30 percent since Marissa Mayer was named CEO in July. Investors are now urging Mayer to outline a growth plan for the company as it fights to catch up to Google and Facebook in the display ad market.

If you're frustrated by slow downloads on your Apple products, you may want to upgrade to the latest software. Apple released an updated iOS version Monday, which will speed up data downloads on overseas networks and some smaller U.S. carriers.

When shopping for car insurance, your college degree could have more of an influence on your price quote than a recent fender bend. According to new research by the Consumer Federation of America, auto insurers weigh occupation and education levels more than driving records when setting rates.
